Southern Command Level Hindi Debate Competition
Held at Army Public School, Golconda

Golconda, 21 Aug,2024 : Army Public School, Golconda proudly hosted the Inter-School Southern Command Level Hindi Debate Competition, featuring top debaters from six distinguished Army Public Schools across India: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Bhopal, and Chennai. The event was a showcase of articulate debate and intellectual prowess.


The competition began with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp, setting a dignified tone for the day. This was followed by a dynamic cultural program that included captivating classical dance performance, highlighting the artistic talents and creativity of the students.


The event was graced by  Col. K.P. Badiye, Officiating Commandant of the Artillery Centre, Hyderabad, who delivered inspiring words as the Chief Guest.


An esteemed panel of judges, known for their expertise and distinguished backgrounds, evaluated the participants:


  1. Ms. Prathama Singh – M.A. in Political Science and M.A. in Hindi

2. Mrs. Aziza – M.A., MPhil, and recipient of the Best Teacher Award from Nasr Society

3. Mr. F.M. Saleem – Renowned journalist, writer, and blogger with an M.A. in Hindi and an M.A.in Urdu  from Osmania University


Awards and Recognitions:


Best Speaker (For the Motion): Anshu Abhilash Samal from APS Chennai

Best Speaker (Against the Motion): Samar Totade from APS Pune

Best Interjector: Anjali Chaudhary from APS Mumbai


Overall Winners:


Overall Winner: Army Public School, Pune

First Runner-Up: Army Public School, Bhopal

Second Runner-Up: Army Public School, Chennai


The competition concluded with APS Pune taking the top honor as the Overall Winner, demonstrating outstanding debating skills and teamwork. APS Bhopal and APS Chennai earned the First and Second Runner-Up positions, respectively.


This event highlighted the exceptional debating talent within the Army Public Schools network and underscored the importance of fostering intellectual development through spirited debate.
